BREAKFAST
Breakfasts at Falconwood are a real treat. Guests can enjoy Cereals, Fruit, Porridge with honey or Fruit Compote, Fruit Juice plus a choice of English Breakfasts, from the full grill- locally Cured Bacon, Cumberland Sausage, Free Range Eggs, Grilled Tomatoes, Fresh Mushrooms and Potato Scones, or, Poached Eggs on Brown Toast, or, Creamy Scrambled Eggs with Smoked Salmon, or any combination of these.
Fresh toast and home-made preserves plus either a cafetiere of fresh coffee or a selection of teas including Breakfast, Earl or Lady Grey, Fruit or Herbal Infusions are also served each morning.
EVENING MEALS
Guests will be invited to dine at Falconwood in the evening should they so wish.
Given notice at breakfast, Master Chef Ian will provide a delicious four course meal, with a choice of two starters, a home-made soup,
two or three main courses and a choice of two or three desserts, plus coffee or tea, all prepared freshly in the kitchen at Falconwood.
A typical evening meal could include starters such as a warm confit of Duck with home made quince and apple dressing on a bed of rocket; or Crispy light Vegetable Tempura with plum and ginger sauce. A home-made soup follows such as Broccoli and Smoked Bacon. Main courses could include a trio of Pork (loin, belly and fillet) served on a mash of celeriac and braised baby leeks; or Sea Bass fillets, pan fried with lime and coriander, served on a bed of roasted garlic flavoured sweet potato. Mouth-watering desserts could include, Chocolate Bread and Butter Pudding served with orange crème fraiche; or Raspberry crème Brulee served with Praline ice cream.
SPECIAL DIETARY REQUIREMENTS
If a guest has any special dietary requirements or food intolerances, Ian will be pleased to cater for this wherever possible. A call to discuss this with Ian at least 48 hours before arrival is recommended.
Residential Licence
With a residential licence, Falconwood can also offer a choice of excellent wines and spirits.
